Hi Britt, as soon as I can breathe on these deadlines, I'd be glad to help on the branding end (tagline/conceptual/etc.) but the design side I always hire out...That said, one of my pals just got a nice logo via crowdsourcing at http://99designs.com for an unconference (Kids Online/Balancing Safety & Fun; here's what it looks like in use)http://www.shapingyouth.org/blog/?p=2843

Probono trumps crowdsourcing...so maybe an Art Academy/student or a blog contest design challenge? I'll check around with contacts, though in this economy, most folks are hustling to keep heads above water, so probono is bleak. (I always end up paying cash to creatives, as I get backburnered otherwise) Least expensive way seems to be crowdsourcing/contests it seems, in lieu of someone in the community) Wonder who designed Alex Steed's new site? We could check with him...it's a fun one!

In case we need a back up volunteer to do the design - Our organization (Nabuur) relies on the UNVolunteering service to recruit volunteers. The platform is an incredible source of talented and driven individuals, so it may be an option to check it out: www.onlinevolunteering.org

I've advertised with the UN service many times (including seeking volunteers with graphic design experience) and the response from interested volunteers is always quick and with great results!

Can't wait to see the logo :-)

Hey Changebloggers!

A wonderful graphic designer has donated her services to create a Changeblogger logo for us!

I have attached PDFs of her first three ideas.

What do you think?

Britt...

Tricky one... very first impressions - i.e. without thinking too much about 'why'!

My 1st choice = #3
2nd choice = #1
3rd choice = #2

Don't dislike any of 'em, mind you - hence finding it difficult to communicate my choices (sorry, not that helpful!). Kudos to the designer.

cheers,
Steve

I also prefer #3, although all three look good. Nice work!

I love logo #3! It's lean, strong and gets the point across. Good stuff!

I like #2 and #3.
#3 is slightly better because it's bolder and will look good in many different sizes.

this is so exciting! anna brew and i checked them out and we love the concept of the ven diagram, but think the exclamation point is the most captivating. hope that helps!

Would it be possible to try the exclamation points with the font on #3? (Design by Committee - aaugh).

These are all terrific and I'd be proud to display any option.
