Using Your Blog to Encourage MLK "Call to Service" Day Participation ~ How Are You Translating the Talk into Action?

I know the topic has come up before about the change we hope to achieve through our blogging and thought it a great chance to share a glimpse at what we are doing to encourage active participation in the "change movement," so to speak, as there are so many different ways to promote change via our blogging platforms...

This coming weekend provides a great real-world example of an event that is focused on a "call to action" and is fed, if you will, through the internet. While MLK Day was deemed King Day of Service by congress way back in 1994, never before has this internet-driven, action-inspiring opportunity existed quite like this ~ with an atmosphere of mission-driven change, led by nothing less than a proclamation from our history-making president-elect.

I'm wondering what my fellow changebloggers are doing to encourage active service this weekend, with the hope that it will feed the growing ground-swell of making service to others and/or the environment a part of our daily lifestyle and mindset.

I thought I'd share my post on the topic (and the email I sent out in conjunction with it):

There are a number of links within the post and email to MLK related information... Sorry not to go to the trouble of transferring all the links here to make it more convenient. I'm just too busy preparing for my MLK Day Event ~ A DeClutter For Good Donation Drive focused on warm clothing desperately needed by kids in MA. Thanks for understanding!

I hope other changebloggers share their MLK Day-related blog posts here as well.

Best,

Nancy/Time Well Spent/MA
