I am not certain how many hours that I will have to dedicate to this blog. I hope to spend more time over here. Time lately is a precious commodity. So much to do and so few hours in a day. Thank you for this network.

Bio: Tell everyone a little bit about yourself
I am a preparedness activist. This is what that title means to me.

All I know is that preparedness begins first from within. I am first preparing by praying deeply about the things that are within my own heart and mind.

I let others be the judge of my success in how I "behave" in society. The rule of law is important.

At the same time I try to help my family prepare our home for the times ahead. I do not want us to become a burden to others.

As an activist encouraging others to think about these things, I share my journey and my thoughts with anyone who cares to listen..if not, that's ok too.

I know that all I can do is convey that there is hope, that we are loved, that we do not have to fear, and that we can be prepared to face utter disasters in our lives.

The change that I believe in is the renewing of our minds. After years of searching throughout the worlds philosophies *I* have found this through Jesus Christ who *I* believe is the Son of God. This is the part of preparedness that I share because it is what I believe. It is up to the reader to decide for themselves if what I say is true or not.

In this brave new world I do not care to impress upon others what they should believe. I do maintain that under divine command I have the right to state firmly what *I* believe and I respect each persons right to state their beliefs. How we impress upon others the need to fall "into line" with our beliefs is the conflict of our generation and is being fought on many fronts.

As a believer in everything Biblical as my guide I believe that God has given man "free will" to believe in Him and act accordingly. That is not to say that we have been given "free will" to act out our human nature and desires. Everyone has a moral code. Where there is "conflict" and conviction is when we cross that moral code set by the "guardians" of our society. Elected officials, leaders, educators, law enforcement, the judiciary, parents, and others whose opinion we grow to trust all have sway over our development as moral creatures. We are a nation of laws that we the people have allowed to be put in place over us. The law exists for our good and if we have been apathetic about the laws placed over us over the last few years we have no one to blame but ourselves. I tried to pay attention. I tried to warn others. We need to be aware, awake and ready.

When there is a conflict between what is right and what is wrong I always stand at "First, do no harm", its not just for the medical folks. It is good advice for us all I think.

I may not be the best Christian around but I will say that I have a relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ who I believe is the Son of God, He owns my heart.

I do not compel others to what I believe and I love my neighbors.

I do not want to see harm come to anyone when the storms come in life.

Every indication is that more "storms" are coming.

I read the Bible specifically the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ and I know that the storms clouds are ominous and foreboding. I do not fear, I am ready. I may not have many material resources but I am ready to face what is ahead.

I hope that I can give my life to others so that they too can be prepared.

Matthew 22:37-40

"And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'

"This is the great and foremost commandment. "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

Loving my neighbor as myself I seek to tell as many people as I can that we do not have to live in fear, we can have joy, we can love one another, and help one another even in the face of terrible turmoil, mistrust, fear, terrible events, illnesses, disasters, and death. That during these life storms is when we need each other the most.

So "preparedness activist" on two fronts. This is my battlefield and the change that I have worked for.
