I am a 20-something originally from Texas, but without a permanent home at the moment. After graduating from Yale University in 2006, I headed to DC, searching for a job that would allow me to be of service to disadvantaged populations. After the usual 9-5 grind in Washington, DC working for a government contractor in health communication, I packed my bags and volunteered in Mozambique, assisting in a capacity building program for Mozambican NGOs working in HIV/AIDS. I currently live in Argentina as a volunteer with a community health center that treats HIV patients, working on patient outreach.

I work for Action Without Borders/Idealist.org, and they have a sister site down here for Spanish speakers called Idealistas.org.
